Congressional Welfare Ministry
At the congressional Welfare ministry of RCCG 'Praise Chapel' we endeavour to build a sense of community in the church through reaching out to members and their families.
- To make a difference in people's lives through personal contact, visitation, and ministering to their needs. To go the extra mile to touch and leave our heart prints of love, kindness, and genuine concern in the lives of church members and their families (John 14:12b).
- To follow up the sick, the immobile, pray for them and offer practical help.
- To reach out to members and families in any situation to pray, comfort, and offer practical help and support according to their present needs.
- To visit church members who may be hospitalised and provide them with the necessary care, support, prayer - (assisting with food, shopping, and otherwise).
- To provide spiritual and emotional care and support to individuals facing difficulty or loss.
- To provide emotional, spiritual, and physical support for the unemployed, seek help from church finance if and when necessary.
- To take initiative in the disbursement of benevolence funds.
- To keep contact with prayer group leaders regarding those that need special prayers, not divulging confidential information without the person's consent.
We aim to provide all necessary care and support (spiritually, psychologically, and physically) to Church members.
